Working professionally as a qualified Chef, has given Lara insight into just how little many people, including professionals themselves, really know about the food they eat. Strong moral, sustainability and ethical approaches to food and living, within her own home and environment, have led her to question. Skills acquired whilst attaining a BA from Melbourne University, have helped her to look closely at the food we eat and the homes we keep.
A desire to learn as much as she can for herself, and to then make this information avaliable has lead her to write.
Lara is passionate above all things about food, family and friendship. Her Czech heritage has taught her the balance embodied in the philosophy of: ‘first we eat, then we drink, and then we sing’. Food and family are linked. Just as we cherish the company, so to should we cherish what we consume.
